Game Board Perspective Drawing

I feel really good about my finished project, it looks how I wanted it to look from the start. This piece, I feel, was very successful. I like how there is a lot of colors and it has perspective, it is not just a flat drawing. The most difficult part of this project was definitely drawing it. Using the horizon line and the many different vanishing points made it difficult to make it all go together. If i could change one thing about it, I would change the shadows of the dice, they need to pop more. the watercolor layer was pretty simple, as long as the water color didn't get to dark. However, the color pencil layer was where you could add the different values and blend them all together. Using colored pencils definitely brought the whole piece together.

Anamorphosis Drawing

I chose to do a starbucks coffee cup as my object, once I had a picture of the coffee cup I opened it in photoshop to transform the picture. The way it was drawn made it look different if you were looking straight at it, but from certain perspectives it looks like its coming off the page. To make this project successful you need to have a shadow. The shadow made a huge difference. Also you need different values of colors following the shape of the object.

New York City Stencil

The first step to this project was too cut out pictures from magazines to create a collage. The pictures I used related to what my stencil was of. I used bright color spray paint as another layer because I wanted the black spray paint to stand out more with the stencil. We used xacto knives to cut out the stencil on a piece of poster board, cutting out all the positive space and leaving the negative. Finally, after the stencil was cut, I chose to use black spray paint for the actual stencil so it would stand out and be noticable.
